A lunation is a lunar month — the time from one new moon to the next. This piece reflects on how lonely change can feel, our human longing for stability, and the pain and wonder of moving between one phase and another. Lunation was written for Rachel Beetz as a creative extension of our friendship, which has always been a haven when we’ve faced difficult choices between waiting and change.
